  America, Iran, a new beginning in bi-lateral relations Trump's Historic Letter to Iran's Supreme Leader: A Bold Move Amid US-Iran Tensions.   US President Donald Trump recently wrote a direct letter to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, inviting him to negotiate over the country's nuclear program. The enmity between Iran and the US has been at its peak for the past 45 years, which has not only destabilized the Middle East but also made the entire world unsafe.   This is perhaps the first time that a head of government has written a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader to resolve issues with Iran, as all such diplomatic contacts have previously been with the Iranian president or political government.
